Springdance 2012: Χορός και οι οπτικές τέχνες
Ουτρέχτη - Ολλανδία (19/04/2012 - 29/04/2012)

Μετά την έκθεση Danser sa vie - Danse et arts visuels aux 20e et 21e siècles, που διοργανώθηκε στο Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης Centre Pompidou στο Παρίσι, το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Χορού Springdance της Ουτρέχτης, αφιερώνει την εφετινή του έκδοση στη σχέση του Χορού με τις Οπτικές Τέχνες (visual arts). Αν από την έκθεση του Pompidou έλειπαν αρκετά πρόσφατα έργα χάριν της ιστορικότητας, το φεστιβάλ στην Ολλανδία αφιερώνεται αποκλειστικά στην πιο σύγχρονη και ρηξικέλευθη καλλιτεχνική δημιουργία.
Διεθνώς γνωστό ως μια πλατφόρμα ανάπτυξης και ανέλιξης του σύγχρονου χορού και της performance, το Springdance ιδρύθηκε το 1978 και εξελίχθηκε τα τελευταία χρόνια σε ένα έντονα προοδευτικό θεσμό, μέσα από τον οποίο έχουν αναδειχθεί αρκετά νέα ταλέντα.

Το Springdance 2012 (19 - 29 Απριλίου) σε επιμέλεια της Bettina Masuch, προτείνει μια σειρά χορογραφικών και εικαστικών έργων, που θέτουν ως θεματικό τους πλαίσιο τον πειραματισμό πάνω στο « σώμα-γλυπτό », « σώμα-αντικείμενο », ή « σώμα-εικαστική επιφάνεια ». Οι καλλιτέχνες που φιλοξενούνται, μελετούν ο καθένας με το δικό του ξεχωριστό τρόπο τα όρια της στάσης και της κίνησης, βάζοντας σε διάλογο τόσο τις διαφορετικές προσεγγίσεις του χορού, της performance, της γλυπτικής και της εικαστικής εγκατάστασης, όσο και τη διαδραστική σχέση του κοινού με το έργο και τον καλλιτέχνη.

Ανάμεσα στους διεθνείς καλλιτέχνες βρίσκουμε νέους, αλλά και μεγαλύτερα ονόματα από διαφορετικές χώρες, όπως οι : Αγγλία, Γερμανία, Βέλγιο, Πορτογαλία, Ολλανδία, Αμερική, Ισραήλ, Τουρκία και Ελλάδα που εκπροσωπείται από τις Κατερίνα Παπαγεωργίου (Kat Válastur) και Γεωργία Βαρδαρού. Η Κατερίνα Παπαγεωργίου που έχει εγκατασταθεί από το 2007 στο Βερολίνο, παρουσιάζει στις 27 & 28 Απριλίου το έργο Lang, ένα μινιμαλιστικό ντουέτο που μελετά τη μεταμόρφωση του σώματος από ζώο σε άνθρωπο και σε γλυπτό άγαλμα. Η Γεωργία Βαρδαρού συμμετέχει με ένα μικρό σόλο, αποτέλεσμα της έρευνάς της με τίτλο Hardcore Research on Dance. Η δε Κύπρος κάνει την παρουσία της αισθητή με τη συμμετοχή της εγκατεστημένης στη Νέα Υόρκη εδώ και χρόνια Μαρίας Χασάπη, σε ένα διεθνές project ανάμεσα σε Ολλανδία, Κύπρο και Αμερική. Στη λίστα των καλλιτεχνών που συμμετέχουν στο φεστιβάλ σημειώνουμε μεταξύ άλλων τα ονόματα των : Meg Stuart, Russell Maliphant, Tino Sehqal, Martin Creed.

Το βασικό πρόγραμμα παραστάσεων του φεστιβάλ εμπλουτίζουν και άλλες παράλληλες δράσεις: speedatings με τους χορογράφους, χορευτικά happenings και ένα συμπόσιο για τους επαγγελματίες και τα ευρωπαϊκά δίκτυα του σύγχρονου χορού.

The company is seeking highly experienced and trained dancers for a new work to be developed in 2013/14. All dancers are welcome to attend; older dancers are also encouraged to apply.
Strong technique and discipline, acting ability and a willingness to improvise areessential, as is ability to speak English.

This is an open audition and there is no need to apply in advance or prepare any material.

SUMMER STUDIO 2012
Every summer, Rosas and P.A.R.T.S. make their studios available to choreographers who have no link with the company or school. In Brussels studio space is very limited and the number of choreographers seeking it increases every year. Rosas and P.A.R.T.S. attempt to offer a solution to this problem in July and August.

All those who are working professionally in contemporary dance can apply to use the dance studios. Send us a dossier about the work you intend to do. It can be a research period for the preparation of a new project. It can be part of the rehearsal period for an established production. It can also be a project created specially for the Summer Studios. For us it is essential only that a creative process is taking place within our walls.

The Summer Studios offer professional dance studios (sprung floor, mirrors, sound installation, TV and dvd-player), and every morning at 9.30 am a technique class with a reputed teacher (free admission for Summer Studio participants and open to others depending on available space).
